Time To Get It Perfect... 1920's Style

I started University of Classic With Style at the beginning of September.  Attending classes 7 days a week for the last month has been sometimes a challenge when trying to balance all that I have going on.  Our instructors have been wonderfully helpful in preparing us for Mid-Terms which I took yesterday, October 1, 2012.

In order for us to pass our mid-term we had to demonstrate our understanding of the concepts presented over the last 3 weeks, as well as performa styling.  Our theme for our Mid-Term styling event was the 1920's... a fun theme and I knew exactly what I was going to wear!

The Roaring 20's were a time that brought about a revolution in almost every sphere of human activity, and fashion was no exception.  I chose to revive the art deco style of the time with a gown from Pink Pearl Designs. The Starla gown and flamboyant facinator embodies the art deco style with beautiful tones of gold on black with flowing skirt. Choosing to compliment this beautiful gown with classic understated jewelry and a simple updo, I selected Diamonds & Pearls from the Jewelry by Jake 1906a Faberge Collection. These stunning pieces were a gift from a dear friend, because like diamonds, a woman should always be two things: classy and fabulous.

While I was nervous most of the day and SecondLife and Firestorm wanted to have some fun with me not letting things work as they should, I was able to make my clothing changes, walk the runway formations and PASS my Mid-Term!

I want to take a moment here and wish all my fellow classmates the best of luck as they take their finals as well.  It has been a fun 3 week Journey at UCWS, and I look forward to the opportunities offered there. I am scheduled to take my Final exam on Wednesday, October 3 at 6pm SLT.  I will keep you posted as to how it goes!  Graduation is set for October 5th!
